The Curtain Rises on Walton Arts Center’s 35th Season
An unforgettable lineup of shows is coming to Walton Arts Center to celebrate its upcoming 35th anniversary season. From first national tours to returning jazz favorites, this season will deliver performances full of joy and leave you wanting more. The season kicks off early this month with the highly anticipated Arkansas premiere of The Outsiders for eight performances Sept. 1-6, but there’s so much more.
The favorites are back this year — the Land O’Lakes Concert Series, West Street Live and Starrlight Jazz for the best in live music. New this season is Songbook Salon, a series that celebrates America’s musical legacy by showcasing artists and performances focused on the Great American Songbook. The series is curated by Champian Fulton, a pianist and jazz singer, and will be in Starr Theater.
The Coca-Cola Night Out Series and Off-Dickson are full of fun experiences, including theatrical shows such as The Unauthorized Hallmark(ish) Parody Musical and Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol in addition to shows that will move you, such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Twilight in Concert, STOMP and an epic Fleetwood Mac sing-along.
The 10x10 Arts Series helps make the arts accessible to all in our community by offering 10 world-class shows for $10 each. If you saw any of these artists anywhere else, ticket prices could be double or even triple the price. Walton Arts Center’s programming team curates these experiences for our region and keeps the price at $10 so that anyone can enjoy them.

The Pringles Family Fun Series welcomes our youngest theater lovers and their families for a fun night out together. Whether you want to see Fraggle Rock Live, experience a holiday circus or enjoy some of your favorite stories from books live onstage, we have the show for kids.
Don’t forget, Walton Arts Center — which opened in April 1992 — is celebrating 34 years of spectacular productions by presenting its biggest season of Broadway shows to date during its upcoming 35th season. Six shows are part of the P&G Broadway series, but there are also five additional Broadway shows throughout the year. From Broadway classics to new musicals, you are sure to find the ticket for you.
