Jingle Mingle

 

On Dec. 7, 2023, the 39th annual Jingle Mingle was held at Heroncrest in Elm Springs benefiting the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas. Approximately 400 guests, including recipients, alumni and supporters, attended the festive event to ring in the holiday season in celebration of the success in 2023. Current recipient Samantha Hodge shared about her educational journey of becoming a nurse while also supporting her two young children. More than $68,765 was raised to support scholarships for single parents creating better, brighter futures for their families through higher education. www.spsfnwa.org

Mission Possible Campaign Luncheon

 

The Cancer Challenge hosted its Mission Possible Campaign Luncheon on Feb. 8 at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville. The luncheon brought together community leaders and supporters to showcase the impact the organization has made from investing $15 million in Northwest Arkansas over more than 30 years. The program featured a lineup of distinguished speakers, touching stories and a glimpse into the organization's future vision. Arkansas Gov. Sarah Sanders provided a special video message, followed by guest speaker and cancer survivor Jim von Gremp. Executive Director Teresa Burke highlighted the organization’s impact and shared testimonial videos from grant recipients Hope Cancer Resources, Community Clinic, and Cancer Support Home. The luncheon concluded with a one-on-one interview by Chelsea Helms with cancer survivor Trent Brock, who shared his cancer journey and how Cancer Challenge changed his life. The Cancer Challenge launched a three-year, $6.2 million capital campaign to expand program and services funding, a capital investment, and establish an endowment to build on the organization’s financial foundation. www.cancerchallenge.com

Ooh! La, La! A Chocolate and Wine Pairing Event

 

On Feb. 8, the Jackson L. Graves Foundation hosted its 15th Annual Ooh! La, La! A Chocolate and Wine Pairing Event, at Fayetteville Town Center. The event kicked off with a champagne reception, featuring artisan chocolate samplings from Terroir, followed by a decadent, three-course dinner prepared by chef Justus Moll with chocolate infused in every course. Each dish was paired with a fine wine presented by Southern Glazer's and Phillip Price of Arkansas Wine and Spirits. Approximately 120 guests helped raise more than $24,000 to benefit the Jackson L. Graves Foundation’s projects focused on neonatal care. www.jacksongraves.org

Moonlight Masquerade

 

The Junior League of Northwest Arkansas hosted its 12th annual Moonlight Masquerade on Feb. 9 at Osage House in Cave Springs. More than 250 tickets, including corporate and individual tables and individual tickets, were sold. The event included a silent auction, music by DJ Derrick, Cajun-style food by Catering Concepts and king cakes by Rick’s Bakery. During the program, guests watched a video created by Beyer Creative featuring JLNWA President Simone Singh, new member and domestic abuse survivor Kendra Thompson, and Peace at Home Development Director Eva Terry. The event raised more than $40,000 to go toward the league’s mission and fund programs with its partner agencies. www.juniorleaguenwa.org
